Hailey's 1st 365...
My Little girl turned 1 year old yesterday. We spent a small fortune at the JCPenney's picture studio, ( what am I going to do with 12 5x7's of my daughter?), then we took her to the park to feed the ducks. I wish I had my camera, Hailey had a great time! She thinks it is SO funny when the geese fight over the bread we throw for them! After that we went to Grandma and Grandpa Townsend's house, where Hailey got to go for a tractor ride with Grandpa! We had a great time, and we topped it off with cake and ice cream! Hailey was a GIANT mess! I Love you crazy face!

Life in the nut house.......
Let me introduce you to some of our patients here at McDaniel's house of crazy folk!
Strange smiling dogs. Maggie smiles like this when she feels shy. Super weird!
This little cutie may just be the craziest one in the house. She makes weird noises, drools uncontrolably, and eats carpet!
The patients will attack.

Seasons change
Fall is here, even though Ryan keeps trying to wear shorts and flip flops to school. We had an amazing summer, with lots of camping, swimming and general family fun. After the spring with Hailey's birth and JF's accident this summer we were finally able to return to normal life. Now that Autumn is here we can start a new season of stuff to do together! I'm looking forward to baking with Ryan, trick-or-treating, and pumpkin pie! Stay tuned to see what shenanigans we get ourselves into!

"I'm your Huckleberry....."
While we were camping at Warm Lake we spent some time picking huckleberries! The night before we went I laid awake in my sleeping bag thinking of all the pies and jam and homemade syrup I was going to make with ALL the huckleberries we would pick the next day. Have you ever seen a huckleberry? After a couple hours of picking with my not-so-efficient child labor team I decided that maybe a jar of jam might be more realistic, maybe two if I was lucky. Ryan was actually pretty dedicated, he picked just about as much as I did. Connor picked 22 berries. Hailey got some stuck to her butt because Daddy dropped them down the front pack, but other than that not much from her. I think we might just make berry-picking a tradition, because I'm thinking as the kids get older their production level will go up.
Itty bitty huckleberry. I think it would take millions To make what I had in mind.
